Yesterday I went to Pompeii. First we went to our ferry and played cards when we were waiting to get to Sorrento. When we got to Sorrento we walked to the train station it was all up hill (so tiring), we caught the train to Pompeii.
On the way to Pompeii we saw Mount Vesuvius from the train station. At Pompeii we got our tickets went on to look around Pompeii. It was cool and creepy at the same time. There were houses that had the roofs torn off and look like they used to have two stories because there were stairs going up and holes through the stairs.

THERE WERE PEOPLE THAT WERE MUMMIFIED (freaky!). The roman people were covered in 8 to 9 feet of ash. If I was them I would have ran for my life. I saw a kid who was mummified that looked like he was calling out to someone or choking or screaming instead of doing that he should have ran although, he looked like he was 3 or 4 poor thing.

In Pompeii I liked the historical places and all of the mummified people and exploring all of the interesting places. But I didn’t like was the restaurant my brothers called it “ancient food” but if it was ancient food then I HATE ANCIENT FOOD (I highly recommend not going to the restaurant here) and the fact that they blocked off all of the interesting parts because it wasn’t safe.

After all I really enjoyed Pompeii and I recommend you to go there if you are interested in historical excavation like me.
